Our admissions process begins each fall and families will be notified of admissions decisions in late February or early March, after our current families have completed their re-enrollment process. New applications should be submitted by February 15, and applications received after will be added to our wait list or considered as space permits.  

In order to be eligible for our Primary one program, children need to be three years old by September 1st and fully toilet trained. Beginning in September 2018, our Primary two classes, (4 year olds), will be full day programs with rare exceptions.

Admissions is a three-step process:
  1. Prospective families are invited to contact the office to schedule a tour of our school. Our small group tours give families an opportunity to learn about the Montessori method, our school’s history and curriculum, and to visit our Primary and Elementary classrooms. Tours are a necessary step in our admissions process, and are held Thursday mornings at 9AM and 10AM.  Tours begin in the fall and continue until our programs are full. Please note that tours are for parents only, as children will have a chance to visit another time.

  2. If you feel Montessori Children’s House would be a good fit for your family, please complete an application. Applications are available online or during the tour.
  3. Once your application has been received, we will arrange a time for you to return to Montessori Children’s House to meet with the admissions coordinator while your child visits their prospective classroom. Prospective primary student visits are shorter, while elementary students typically spend half a day in the classroom.
