| he artwork displayed here represents the efforts of young children who are imaginative and resourceful. In addition to general art classes, these children spend a significant amount of time learning about different cultures and viewing art from around the world. They gain in tolerance and understanding, as well as knowledge, by doing so. This leads to a respect and appreciation of individual efforts.
Visual arts, in this type of environment, develop naturally with language skills. An idea might suggest a drawing, or a painting might suggest sentences that lead to a story.
Art is always about more than making objects. Children can come to realize that art reflects people and their environment. They can appreciate differences and, they can come to understand how ideas, pictures, and feelings in someone's mind can be caught and put into concrete form to share with others.
