Ann Lewis has spent several mornings teaching the second and third grade students how to knit. Knitting needles and white yarn were purchased. The children are making either small pouches or stuffed kittens, depending on their preference and how fast each child is able to progress. After several classes, most of the children are able to knit with occasional help, a few are almost independent and a few need more frequent help. It is estimated that they will all be finishing their projects by the end of the school year.
